About Me
My computer experience dates back to 1980 with my first computer, a Commodore VIC-20, the predecessor to the very popular Commodore 64. My business computer experience began in 1987 in TV commercial production, using an Amiga 2000 computer to add text and logos to commercials.
My experiences in computers and Information Technology include the following:
- Microsoft Certified Professional.
- CompTIA A+ Certified Professional.
- MS-DOS, Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME.
- Windows NT4 Workstation, Windows NT4 Server.
- Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 2000 Server.
- Windows XP Home and Professional.
- Windows 2003 Server.
- Windows Vista.
- Novell Netware 5 and 6.
- Network Administrator for a large corporation. One of my major projects was designing and implementing the computer and telephone networks that are currently in use at one of the company's facilities.
- Home and business computer systems. I have setup, maintained and upgraded computer systems and networks in homes and businesses. Some of these businesses include: doctor's offices, banks, attorney's offices, automotive repair shops, car dealerships, churches and insurance agencies.
- On-site support for schools. I have worked in several multi-site school systems in Tennessee.
I have extensive knowledge and experience with school computer networks as well as the computer needs of faculty and staff.
- Video work - I have over 20 years of experience in video. I worked for a company in Memphis that aired commercials on four cable TV networks. My responsibilities were to film, edit and air TV commercials. Click here for the video services I offer.
